Our mission at The Black Owl studio is to create a space where dreams come to life. A content factory. The Black Owl Studio is a state-of-the-art video and audio studio located in the Back Cove area of Portland, Maine. Downstairs is our main production studio with a 24 foot Cyc Wall; We produce music videos, headshots, branded content, etc. Upstairs in the loft, aka The Nest, we capture incredibly high-quality audio recordings, produce modern tracks, and help our artists succeed in the ever-changing music industry. The space was engineered with audio recording in mind. The elevated loft has a seven-layer floor outfitted to create the best low-end sound possible. Moveable sound-deadening walls can effortlessly move to make a vocal booth that can morph into the ideal shape for whatever band size or instrument you may have. We are more than just a studio - we’re a creative community with pooled resources, a strong backbone, and an intense passion.
