Jeff Schwartz

Jeff Schwartz is a Boston based lifelong singer who started playing guitar and writing his own music in his mid 60’s. The self-titled track of his album Crosswalk recounts the story of a life-changing accident in 2017 that took out half of his leg, and recounts how he was able to find positivity and gratitude for life after his horrible accident. Inspired by the music of Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles, his music has a smooth, folky singer-songwriter feel to it that is familiar to Bob Dylan fans.

I first met Jeff through 317 Main Community & Music Center, who at the time was interested in hiring me to play piano for a Frank Sinatra tribute show in Boston. We got to chatting some more and he expressed interest in record a couple of his original songs at a professional music studio. I was blown away by the story of his accident, and I knew Breakwater was just the place to bring his vision to life.

You wouldn’t have been able to tell that Jeff’s first session here was actually his first recording session ever. He came in confident and prepared to record, knocking out one scratch track after the other.
